Welcome to the Fairmont Heights High School Freshman Class of 2028!

Dear Future Hornets and Parents,

Welcome to Fairmont Heights High School! My name is Annetta Woolfolk, and I am your 9th Grade Administrator. With over 25 years of experience in education, I am excited to guide and support you as you begin this important journey.

As students transition to high school, we encourage them to get off to a strong start in every class and take every opportunity their instructors provide to sharpen their academic and social skills. Focusing on maintaining good habits such as coming to school consistently, reporting to each class on time, and being ready to participate is the start of being successful. You have already laid the foundation, and this year is the year you truly start to build yourself into the college and career-ready student we all know you can be.

At Fairmont Heights, we take great pride in our community, and it is essential that all students demonstrate HORNET PRIDE by being:

  • Punctual: Arrive on time to class and activities.
  • Respectful: Show respect to teachers, peers, and yourself.
  • Independent: Take responsibility for your learning and actions.
  • Disciplined: Follow school rules and stay focused on your goals.
  • Engaged: Participate actively in your classes and extracurricular activities.

These four years will go by quickly, so make the most of your high school experience. Get involved, make new friends, and always strive for excellence.

We are excited to welcome everyone to 9th Grade Orientation on Friday, August 23, 2024. There will be a parent meeting at 9:15 AM in the auditorium. Please join us as we kick off the new school year and prepare for an exciting journey ahead. We will be exploring more of this information during the orientation.

For more information, please visit our website: https://classof2028fhhs.my.canva.site/

Be sure to explore the various extracurricular opportunities so that you may fully experience all that Fairmont Heights High School has to offer as you grow into a well-rounded, productive citizen who is prepared to contribute and give back to your community.

Parents, please review your student’s class schedule to become familiar with their daily bell schedule. Students will follow a block schedule with 4 class periods each A day and B day. Please note that students are to be in their designated classrooms by 8:30 AM. Remember that we are a uniform school, and students are expected to arrive daily wearing the appropriate uniform. Our Class of 2028 Ninth Grade class uniform is khaki pants and white shirts. Additionally, all students are required to adhere to the school and county dress code policies.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Annetta Woolfolk
